"Kilz Complete" Primer

Kilz Complete is an interior / exterior oil-based primer that delivers superior stainblocking and all-surface performance.

• Use to prime new wood, over wallpaper and glossy surfaces.
• Can be used as an enamel, latex or oil-base paint undercoater.

Where to Use:-

• Kilz Complete is ideal for blocking stains, priming and sealing most interior and exterior surfaces. It is especially effective at blocking graffiti, tannin, water, smoke and other bleeding stains. KILZ COMPLETE provides superior stainblocking capabilities, quick dry times, a mildew-resistant coating and the versatility to be used under latex or oil-based paint.
• Important – Carefully read all directions, notes and warnings prior to use. Use this product only as directed on the label. Do not use for any other purpose. Unless directed on the label, do not mix with any other product.

Surface Preparation:-

• Wash off any dirt, grease or smoke damage with a non-soapy detergent or a TSP substitute, rinse well and then allow to dry.
• Remove all mildew with a commercially available mildew remover, rinse well and then allow to dry.
• Unpainted, exterior wood exposed to sun and/or moisture longer than 2-4 weeks must be cleaned and sanded before priming.
• For maximum adhesion to glossy surfaces, scuff sand the surface prior to application.
• Scrape off loose paint and sand to a smooth surface. Sanding or removal of paint containing lead is hazardous.

Application:-

• Eye protection is recommended.
• For best results, use when substrate and air temperatures are between 35°F (2°C) and 90°F (32°C).
• Stir or mix prior to and during use. Do not thin.
• Prime the entire surface to ensure a uniform appearance of the topcoat.
• Tough stains may require two coats to block completely.
• Masonry surfaces must be cured for over 90 days.
• Coverage varies by surface. Coverage will be approximately 300 square feet per gallon on rough surfaces; up to 400 square feet per gallon on smooth, nonporous surfaces.
• Can be tinted with up to 2 ounces of universal colorant per gallon.
• Dries to the touch in 30 minutes at 77°F (25°C) and 50% humidity.
• Recoat or topcoat after 1 hour.

Clean Up & Disposal:-

• Use mineral spirits to clean tools, spatters and spills.
• Spills can be contained with dry sand or other inert absorbent.
