After cooking your meat on both sides, simply insert the blade of your Cooked-Per'fect into your steak, hamburger, or other red meat, being careful not to push the ip of the blade into the open flame of a barbecue. Wait 3-5 seconds and remove. Quickly observe the thermometer - the appropriate colors will reveal to indicate the doneness you prefer for your meat. After a few seconds, the color will revert black so that you may re-use the thermometer - to again check doneness of this steak or any other steak being cooked.
